Abstract: Aggrey Mbere on life under Apartheid. Program examines the mental and physical exploitation European colonizers and United States corporations are directly or indirectly responsible for in South Africa. Host John Slade speaks with Aggrey Mbere, a native South African and member of the Organization of South African Students, to discuss African Liberation Day and how tactics like the May 26 rally in Washington, DC can aid the struggle in Southern Africa. Additional segments include a slide show presented by the Southern Africa Relief Fund about apartheid in South Africa that strongly illustrates the inhuman conditions Blacks in South African face, and an interview with Marion Marshall of the Roxbury Comprehensive Health Center, who discusses the rising blood bank demands in the Roxbury-Dorchester-Mattapan areas. Produced by John Slade. Directed by Russell Tillman.
