Abstract: This Web site is designed to provide a sample of the content the magazine, and to encourage exploration and discussion of themes treated in the magazine. American Scientist is an illustrated bimonthly magazine about science and technology and covers work in fields that range from molecular biology to computer engineering. Readers also enjoy The Scientists' Bookshelf, a comprehensive book-review section and a number of regular columns that cover topics in computing, engineering, public and professional issues and reflections on the history and practice of science. Once a year, the editors enlist children to help review books, software and other products for young scientists. This site includes a very useful search tool that allows the user to locate articles using key words or phrases.
