Abstract: This course module is a multimedia program designed to prepare adult students for Grade 12 science courses, primarily Canadian Aboriginal students who may not have been successful with traditional methods of learning science. The program consists of a seven-unit CD-ROM, printed instructor and student manuals, on-line testing, and a website with module overviews, objectives, and additional links and support resources. Biology, chemistry, and physics course materials use Canadian-based real life examples and focus on Aboriginal lifestyles and heritage. Each module cites video and print resources as well as hotlinks to sites with related information. Exams for each unit are delivered through on-line testing. Email and a discussion room are also available for instructors and students.
